This book is about Dave pelzer the author who writes about his past ,how he was abused by his mother. His mother did terrible things to him such as starved, stabbed, smashed him face-first into mirrors, forced to eat the contents of his sibling's diapers and a spoonful of ammonia, and burned him over a gas stove by a maniacal. If you read this book , it'll make you want to read more and more to find out if anyone will save david and get him away from his abusive mother. What i liked about this book was that i keep on reading and it was hard for me to put it down,and what i dislike about this book was the terrible things david mother did to him, I just wanted to beat her up.but overall this book was good and i reccomend it to anyone.also i've leanred that child abuse occurs a lot and that people need to help stop it.
